Employer Reporting and Maintenance (ERM) is launching April 2012! Ensure you’re prepared to report wages and contributions electronically and on a payroll basis to the Indiana Public Retirement System (formerly PERF and TRF). Visit er.inprs.in.gov to make sure you will be in compliance at go-live. While you’re on the site, sign up for Employer Update, an e-newsletter containing all the important information you need to know about how to prepare for ERM! We are striving to maintain the same level of service and keep our dues the same. The dues for 2012 are again 1.5% of your salary. There is a dues letter available Dues Letter that you can use when you turn in your claim. Additionally you can find a spreadsheet of the counties we are still wainting on funds from .  Dues Spreadsheet

The Officers of your association hopes this communication finds you all doing well. We know all of our offices are very busy with financial rollovers, finalization of filing deductions, yearend reports AND on and on. YET there is one fiscal housekeeping item we want to remind you all about. That is your offices yearly dues to the Association.

We are striving to maintain the same level of service and keep our dues the same. The dues for 2012 are again 1.5% of your salary. There is a dues letter available Dues Letter that you can use when you turn in your claim. Thank you for your immediate attention to this important fiscal item.
Secondly,
the Association will be sending out solicitation letter to vendors for sponsorship of your Association. This contribution from vendors is extremely important in the offsetting the cost of conferences, business of running the association and items like tax preparation fees and video recording of conferences. We would appreciate names and contact information so the Association can send a letter to them giving them the opportunity to support the Auditors. You can send your suggestions directly to President Angie Lawson or Treasurer Pete Mullen

or send them through the email chain and the info will get to Angie and Pete.
OR
if you would please just send them, or hand deliver to the company represenative you know, the Vendor Letter which details all of the different levels of sponsorship and the benefits of each level. The Association has had many Auditors step up and assist in this activity and as Boone County Auditor Melody Price stated “I just hope they all come through but I figured it didn’t hurt to ask. What can they say? No? Or maybe yes!  I have worked on many fundraisers over the years and have found most people are willing to help if just asked.”

Greetings and Happy New Year from your 2012 President! 
 
A U.S. celebrity once said that the New Year is “another chance for us to get it right.” The New Year has always been a time for looking back at our accomplishments over the past year, and more importantly, forward to the coming year. It’s a time to reflect on the changes we want (or need) to make and resolve to follow through on those changes.
For many 2011 marked your first year in the Auditor’s Office with many challenges and much learning we all made it to another January.  I look forward to serving you and my hope is to provide you with good educational experiences along with some relaxation and laughs along the way.  Please know that my door and phone is always open for business please feel free to contact me if you have any issues or just need a shoulder or even if you need to yell at someone.  Let’s make 2012 a great year for the Auditor’s Association of Indiana.  Thank you again for your confidence.
